Open to athletes U12 and older who want to ski during the week and on Saturdays, the Big Mountain Full-Time Team is designed for dedicated athletes looking to advance their all-mountain and big mountain skiing skills in a high-level training environment.

This program focuses on developing strong technical skiing through USSA SkillsQuest, while building confidence, stability, and strength in steep terrain, mixed snow conditions, and challenging mountain environments. Athletes train multiple days per week and receive coaching focused on both individual progression and competition preparation.

Training includes:

  • Technical turning development through SkillsQuest
  • Terrain reading and line choice
  • Jumping, air awareness, and safe progression on natural features
  • Skiing steeps, moguls, trees, and variable snow conditions
  • Competition preparation and IFSA event opportunities
  • Avalanche awareness and snow safety education (AAIRE, etc.)
  • Introduction to backcountry touring concepts
  • Media and athlete development skills
  • Team culture built around accountability, safety, and skiing with a buddy

Athletes develop the confidence and decision-making skills needed to ski challenging terrain safely and competitively, while fostering a lifelong passion for mountain sports.

This is a competition team, and additional fees apply.
An IFSA membership is required.

This program meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with additional select Sundays for competitions and training opportunities.

Athletes are required to register with their school as an academic athlete and must attend all scheduled training days and hours unless approved in advance by both the coach and parents.
